DESOTO Brand Bible
During a weekend work shop with Peter Buchanan-Smith I developed a Brand “Bible”, so to speak for DESOTOclothes. This look book for DESOTO features a mapped out storyline of moving from Mississippi to Maryland and the interstates used to move from the South to the North.
Using vernacular language, I hand drew the names of the major cities that I traveled through, during the move. For instance Jackson, Mississippi is often spoken as Jaksin, Mis-a-sip-e. I wanted to play into the culture of Southern dialect and vernacular.
