Several things that we have already talked about are discussed in this step by step approach to lettering.

1. Write the word over and over and over to learn the rhythm and pacing of the letters
2. Using Baselines and X-Height lines as guides
3. Experiment with the thickness and thinness of the line/stroke of the letters
4. Experiment with composition and placement of the letters/words before you spend too much time working on a singular letter/word
5. Edit the letters digitally to make them more consistent and or balanced
