Snow Day for You!
by admin
So…Obviously we didn’t have class yesterday due to the feet of snow across the city!
Never fear, we will all recover.
LAST WEEK’S HOMEWORK
Bring in at least 10 images and/or sketches of different objects that would be found in your museum. Also bring in at least 5 different names for your museum.
Refine your idea into a solid concept and begin sketching ideas for the logo’s icon and wordmark on paper with pen or pencil.
When we meet in class next week, please have the following things completed:
1. 10 images and/or sketches of different objects that would be found in your museum.
2. 5 different names for your museum.
3. 10 Pen/pencil logo sketches per museum name — for at least 2 different concepts.
So I expect to see a total of at least 20 logo sketches on paper. If you are simply re-branding an existing museum, instead of renaming or creating a concept of your own, you still have to have 20 logo sketches on paper. Get creative here!
Lastly, our schedule isn’t blown off that much due to the storm. Our guest visitor, Marcia Minter, Creative Director / VP at LLBean, isn’t going to end up coming to our class. There was a small scheduling snafu which puts her on campus on Monday, February 8, instead of Tuesday during our class. That being said, I still strongly urge you, if possible, to attend her talk on Monday. I will give you more information and remind you all when time gets closer to her visit.
That is all. Enjoy the last of the melting winter wonderland. See you next week!
